Reform Highfields School Uniform Policy and Improve Students' Toilet Access

The Issue

As a former student of Highfields School in Wolverhampton, UK, I have personally experienced the discomfort and inconvenience caused by our school's restrictive uniform policy and limited toilet access. Many students, including myself, have raised complaints about the school's uniform jumpers. furthermore , many students have exclaimed that they would wear the jumpers if they were a different colour , therefore increasing growth in the use of the jumpers.

Additionally, as a student of highfields school, I've faced situations where I was denied access to the toilet when needed. This is not only a health concern but also infringes on students' basic human rights. According to the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child (UNCRC), children should have their basic needs met - this includes access to toilets during school hours.

The current policies are causing unnecessary distress among students and affecting their overall well-being and academic performance. Therefore, we urge Highfields School authorities to reform their uniform policy by allowing more comfortable alternatives for jumpers and ensure that all students can use toilets whenever necessary.

Please support us in making these changes happen at Highfields School for a better learning environment for all its students. Sign this petition now!
