Reform Facebook's Policies Surrounding Artificial Bots Flagging Content

Reform Facebook's Policies Surrounding Artificial Bots Flagging Content
The Issue
My personal story is a testament to a major issue we're currently facing - a declining space for freedom of speech. As an active Facebook user, I have increasingly experienced the autocratic nature of Facebook's artificial bot systems unjustly flagging content shared by members of various groups and pages. For many, Facebook is more than just a social platform. It's an avenue to share knowledge, insights, and to educate others on numerous topics.
Unfortunately, this educational feature of Facebook is under the threat of diminishing completely due to the unjust flagging of posts by the social network's bot systems. The imbalance in the application of these policies is leading to significant reductions in freedom of speech and the overall spirit of sharing that underlines vibrant virtual communities.
Moreover, Facebook's AI having a 9.6% error rate on hate speech content, according to the company's March 2021 Transparency Report, only adds to the concern over the extensive use of these unguided bots. The unsettling fact about these figures is the lack of transparency on the potential number of posts unfairly flagged or groups unjustly deactivated, which could be seen as an infringement on the users' rights to freedom of speech.
What we require is a reform in Facebook's policies surrounding the flagging of contents by artificial bots. The current mechanisms lack the nuanced understanding of a human, and the overreach of these bots is having a detrimental impact on the organic growth of online communities.
With this petition, we aim to present the larger issue at hand to Facebook's management. We urge Facebook to review its policies, implement more stringent guidelines for its artificial bot systems, and ensure that the onus and freedom to share, educate, and learn is returned to its rightful owners, us, the users.
Please, sign this petition and stand for our collective freedom of speech on Facebook.
