Reform Bullying Policy and Improve Academic Standards at Glen Eira College

The issue

I was once a student at Glen Eira College - a period in my life marked by intense bullying, seemingly condoned by a system that failed to address such issues. The bullying at Glen Eira College is rampant, a perpetual torment that dominates the lives of countless students. Worse yet, the faculty seems ineffective, unable to appropriately manage this crisis. The principal and assistant principal did nothing when I brought up these issues about bullying, they do not care about their students.

The academic curriculum, especially the Glen Eira College SEAL program, is lethargic, leading to high drop-out rates and broad student dissatisfaction. Regrettably, the Glen Eira College ranking for education is undeserved, with many teachers overlooking students' needs. We urge a review of staff performance and the SEAL program itself.

Furthermore, there’s an irrationally strict uniform policy which victimizes students for minor infractions. The Glen Eira College uniform requires plain black socks and black leather shoes which are not runners or students get detention. A school should prioritize students' comfort and personal expression, not marginalize them over trivialities such as attire.

The Glen Eira College newsletter is filled with platitudes and is extremely uninteresting. We demand transparency, something which reflects the true state of our school.

Unfortunately, the Glen Eira College reviews are mostly negative. I can personally attest to the veracity of these accounts, as my experiences mirror the common refrain of dissatisfaction. It is imperative to address these concerns to ensure the welfare and progression of current and future students.

The Glen Eira College fees are greedily taken from its students yet still will not fix the actual issues facing the school. Despite all the fees demanded by the school, students still are expected to participate in the Glen Eira College photos and pay for them. Students must also pay out of pocket to adhere to the strict uniform policy.

Let's challenge Glen Eira College to become an institution which not only preaches excellence but truly exemplifies it - by reforming its ineffective bullying policies, scrutinizing teachers' effectiveness, reassessing the SEAL program, showing tolerance toward students' dressing and using the revenue generated for good use.
