Reform and Broaden the Scope of the Good Samaritan Law
Reform and Broaden the Scope of the Good Samaritan Law
The Issue
I'm writing this with a heavy heart, because friends I loved and cared for are no longer with us. Their deaths could have been avoided if our Good Samaritan laws were broader and reformed to fit our present society. As they stand, these well-meaning laws only offer legal protection to people who give reasonable assistance to those who are injured, ill, in peril, or otherwise incapacitated. With the changing conditions of society, the current legal implementations no longer suffice. It is important to remember that laws are there to serve the people and cater to their needs, therefore these laws need updating as society evolves. By refining the laws and broadening their scope, we could encourage more people to step up to help those in need. We could create a stronger, more compassionate society. Moreover, this could save lives - the lives of our friends, families, and loved ones. This cause is personal to me. No one should witness their friends dying because our laws failed to protect the Good Samaritans willing to help. It is time to step up, make our voices heard, and contribute towards a meaningful change. Please sign this petition, and add your voice to the call for the reform and broadening of our Good Samaritan laws.
Due to the ingress of murderous intention upon the people of New York the people heresigned file grievance with the State of New York, and the Federal Legislature formally the congress and judiciary to correct the following:
1. Administration of poison, as so defined as a chemical, or chemical combination designed to end life and administered as such shall be treated as evidence of malicious intent premeditated to accomplish murder no matter the specific poison thus so procured, administered or hereby known unless those parties poisoned or witness present no suspicion to the law.
2. Forensic analysis shall be undertook, as also through autopsy, fingerprint analysis, procurement chain analysis, direct and indirect contact with victim(s), and forensic monetary gains analysis those parties connected to said victims.
3. Premeditation as per the law and judiciary record determining poisoning be considered premeditated murder, conspiracy to commit murder (if involving more than one criminal), and shall not yield opportunity for parole, probation, plea, or immunity.
4. There shall be no statute limiting the prosecution of said crimes in any way.
5. There shall not be allowed refusal to participate in said investigations and attempted refusal shall be treated with suspicion.
