For nearly my entire life it seems, I've been a person obsessed with live music. Some of the greatest moments of my life thus far have come from when I've been standing in a field or an ampitheater with my closest friends, with an artist in front of us that had made a lasting impact on our lives. Through all my years and all these experiences I've always said, "Daft Punk will be the be all and end all. Once I see them, I can hang up the towel. Because where could I possibly go from there?"

        Now, that being said, I've recently just stumbled upon the Star Tribune article stating that the duo had approached you to play in our beautiful state, next to one of the most iconic symbols contained within our borders. I petition you Reed Robinson, to think twice about your decision to reject their proposal. I don't think you should view this as "how might people view this?", rather I believe you should see this as what it could possibly become. If this became a reality, this would be an event bringing in people from all over the world into our beautiful to state to see her as she truly is. A gathering of people from all walks of life, coming together in a celebration of music, community, and nature. Some have said this event would be considered sacrilige. Everyone who signs this petition most likely views it as the exact opposite.
