Petition to Mayor Rick Blangiardi:

We the people who love Kailua Bay, want to have clean and safe waters to swim, fish and recreate.

We believe that in order to have a clean ocean, we must protect the entire waterway Mauka to Makai.

Kaelepulu Pond (Enchanted Lake) has lost nearly half of its original depth due to sediment from stormwater runoff. 


Maintenance of our stormwater collection system is lacking and contributing to pollution.

We want brown water and sewage stopped from entering Kailua Bay. 

We want waterways that flow to the ocean to be free of pollution and an ocean that is safe and healthy for people and marine life.

We therefore request Mayor Rick Blangiardi to add at a minimum three personnel to clean the storm drains that empty into Kaelepulu on a regular maintenance schedule.
