The Issue

As a resident impacted by the proposed construction of a 21-unit apartment complex adjacent to my residence on a lot only 50 feet wide, I am deeply concerned about the significant implications this project will have on our community's living environment and infrastructure.

The sheer scale of this plan on such a narrow plot risks creating a significantly cramped and congested area, overshadowing existing structures, and affecting the quality of life for current residents. Furthermore, the limited street parking available already poses a daily challenge for families and individuals who rely on their vehicles. Introducing 21 new apartments without sustainable parking solutions will exacerbate this issue, pushing the community infrastructure to its limits.

Statistics from urban development studies indicate that ideal dwelling units per acre should not exceed densities which overwhelm the infrastructural capabilities of narrow city lots. A reduction in the number of units will ensure that the development remains in line with sustainable and community-focused urban growth standards.

In light of these pressing concerns, I propose that local development authorities reconsider the current project plan to reduce the number of units, thereby aligning with the realistic capacities of our neighborhood's infrastructure. This adjustment will not only benefit the current residents by preserving our local character and quality of life but will also foster a more harmonious and responsible growth model for future inhabitants.

I urge city planners and construction companies involved to prioritize a balanced approach that respects both the livability of existing residents and the progressive vision for community development. Implementing these changes will create a more inclusive and thoughtful environment for everyone involved.

Please join me in advocating for a sensible adjustment to this proposed apartment complex. Sign this petition to show your support for a community-oriented, sustainable housing solution.
