The general student population of MCPS will overwhelmingly agree with me when I say that the amount of homework given needs to be reduced. It takes up so much time that could be used for students to pursue hobbies and extracurricular activities, and it is a huge source of stress that teenagers should not have to deal with. As a call to action, I am simply asking for the MCPS Board of Education to decide to find a way to change the curriculum that allows students to benefit, whether that is teaching more in class, having more opportunities for extra help after school, etc.
