The reckless disregard for road rules along Wellington Rd from Stud Rd to Napoleon Rd in Rowville Victoria has resulted in multiple fatalities and injuries over the years. It is heartbreaking to see how many people have been injured or even killed due to the inability of some drivers to pay attention behind the wheel or follow road rules. The area is also a kill zone for local wildlife including Kangaroos and wombats to name a couple. This section of road has become a hotspot for speeding and endangering life and property. Most nights it's a drag strip and the speed limits are often ignored without consequence, an attitude that is not acceptable.

We propose a reduction of the speed limit to 60kmh along this stretch of road, coupled with the installation of red light & speed cameras facing both East and West on Wellington Rd at the intersection with Silkwood Way and Braeburn Way where it intersects with Wellington Village SC intersection. This measure will serve as a deterrent for those who choose to flout traffic laws while ensuring safety for all users.
