Over the past few years, Highway 5 in Dundas, Millgrove, and Hamilton, ON, Canada, has experienced a significant increase in traffic accidents. The high-speed limit and heavy vehicle volume are creating critical situations, endangering motorists, pedestrians, and cyclists alike. The solutions are clear – either the speed limit should be decreased or traffic lights should be installed to manage traffic flow more efficiently.

Traffic calming measures, including reduced speed limits and traffic signals, have been shown to significantly reduce accidents.
