Reduce or Eliminate Homework for Better Student Well-being

Reduce or Eliminate Homework for Better Student Well-being
The Issue
I am a student who wakes up at 6:30 AM and returns home at 4:30 PM. That's a total of 10 hours dedicated to school, not including the additional two hours spent on homework. This routine is not only exhausting but also detrimental to my overall well-being.
Research has shown that excessive homework can lead to high stress levels, physical health problems, and even alienation from society (American Psychological Association). Moreover, the National Education Association recommends that students should have no more than 10 minutes of homework per grade level per night. However, many students are experiencing far more than this recommended amount.
This petition aims to address this issue by urging educational institutions to reduce or eliminate homework. By doing so, we can create an environment where students are able to learn effectively without compromising their health and well-being.
Please sign this petition if you believe in creating a healthier learning environment for our students.
