Global warming is the earth's global temperature rising due to human activities like the burning of fossil fuels, cutting down trees, wasting energy, etc. 

Its effects are devastating:

The rising global temperatures are worsening many natural disasters like storms, floods, heat waves, and droughts.

- Higher sea levels, which have destroyed so many coral reefs, and the temperature in Antarctica is the hottest it’s ever been, if this keeps going on Polar bears are soon to be extinct. 
- Climate change
- Animals’ ecosystems are getting warmer and warmer and they can’t adapt quickly enough to the new temperature as a result a lot of them don’t make it.
- Not enough food
- Poverty and displacement
- More health risks
Solutions:

- Minimize the energy you use: A lot of the things we use like air conditioning, water, and electricity are powered by fossil fuels, using less will help a ton. 

Washing your laundry with cold water: Warming water needs a lot of energy to heat up using less of it is ideal. 

- Use less water

- Turn off devices you aren't using like your TV. 

- Recycle

- Walk, bike, or take public transportation

- Throw away less food
