Gas prices have soared 16% in one month (February to March 2022) to unprecedented levels resulting in financial hardship for many daily commuters.  In May 2022, one gallon of diesel cost an average of 5.57 U.S. dollars in the United States. That was a price increase of over two U.S. dollars compared to the previous year and the highest average monthly price in decades.

Increases in fuel prices impact the country’s economy and inflation. Everything that relies on transport is more expensive. Why is the Government exploiting the common man like this?
