I am a resident of General Trias, Cavite and I have seen firsthand the devastating effects of food waste. While many people in our community struggle to find enough to eat, perfectly good food is being thrown away. This is not only a social issue but also an environmental one.

According to the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO), approximately one-third of all food produced for human consumption worldwide goes to waste. In the Philippines alone, we waste around 308,000 tons of rice per year - that's enough to feed 4.8 billion people a day! 

This petition calls on our local government in General Trias, Cavite to implement stricter regulations on food wastage and promote more sustainable practices among businesses and households alike.

We can't afford to ignore this issue any longer - too many people are going hungry while perfectly good food goes straight into landfill sites. It's time we took action against this unnecessary waste.
