We the people of Oakey 4401 are IMMEDIATELY REQUESTING more on-ground support to ensure our community is protected from violations of human rights.

We call for CCTV to be installed within the township, better public space lighting and a more coordinated approach to the youth justice system for repeated offenders. 

Our community is subjected to a constant occurrence of vehicle theft, vandalism, trespass and wilful damage, gaining entry or be in any premises with the intention of committing a crime; gaining entry or be in any premises and commit a crime in the premises;
Gaining entry to premises by any break and commit a crime in the premises.

We the residents are beginning to live in fear as there are youth who display repeated antisocial behaviour and contempt for the judicial system.

Section 24 of the Human Rights Act 2019 says that: All persons have the right to own property alone or in association with others. A person must not be arbitrarily deprived of the person’s property.
Section 25 of the Human Rights Act 2019 says that: A person has the right – not to have the person’s privacy, family, home or correspondence unlawfully or arbitrarily interfered with; and not to have the person’s reputation unlawfully attacked.
Section 26 of the Human Rights Act 2019 says that: Families are the fundamental group unit of society and are entitled to be protected by society and the State.

We the people of Oakey 4401 DO NOT FEEL HEARD.
