In Shroggs Park Halifax, sits a skatepark that is underutilized due to the design not being up to standard with other skateparks across Calderdale. Skateparks such as Wellholme & Hebden Bridge are always busy with families and people of all ages, genders, backgrounds, and abilities taking part in sports such as skateboarding, scootering, rollerblading and more, which has been seen to provide a significant boost to both local communities.

However, this is not the case for Shroggs Park as the skatepark here lacks functionality due to poor design, size and quality of ramps. A refurbished, revamped and creatively designed skatepark would be a huge asset to this community and would be appreciated not only by members of North Halifax, but by a large number of active individuals across Calderdale.
