Ban and remove the r/illnessfakers subreddit on website Reddit

The Issue

Since being diagnosed with a chronic illness myself three years ago, I've found myself amongst an amazing community of people online who suffer similar to myself. However, whilst this is mostly a positive experience, there is one element of sharing our journey online that is less than pretty.

Reddit is an incredibly popular social media website where you can "join" and post about topics of your interest via subreddits. There is, however, subreddits that are incredibly dangerous and promotes/encourages harassment and bullying of people like myself who suffer with chronic illness. This subreddit is called r/illnessfakers and the people who contribute to this subreddit dedicate their time to targeting certain Instagram users who are chronically ill, by posting screenshots of their Instagram posts and trying to explain why they're lying, often with judgemental, ignorant and bullying dialogue.

This subreddit is abusive, harassing and quite terrifying. They are brutal with their words and if they are allowed to continue then someone will end up hurting or killing themselves. Something needs to be done to remove it before even more damage is done.
