Plans have been submitted for a large mosque on Mulberry Way, South Woodford. The planning application can be viewed on the Redbridge Council Website under case number 1144/16. Under these plans a three storey building will be built which is totally out of place with all other buildings in the local area. It is likely that the influx of extra traffic will make the one way system further grind to a halt, and due to a lack of parking provisions parking in the area will also become more difficult.

If you are a local resident do you really want to be sat in more traffic during busy times just to leave your home? I know I don't. The construction will also cause disruption, especially as it's located less than 100 metres from South Woodford train station.

This construction has been rejected a couple of times previously and for good reason. The busy area can't handle the extra traffic this would bring, and the design (which can easily be seen on Google images) is not aesthetically pleasing at all.

I am a local resident myself, so I am aware of the traffic and parking issues people currently have as well as the impact this will have on local businesses. If this petition doesn't gain enough momentum the planning permission may be granted and the area blighted by an unsightly building, as well as the frustrations that come with the construction of a project this size for the local residents.
