Grey Oaks and Wild Timber Neighborhoods need a traffic light at the entrance, and a recent traffic study proves this to be the case! Signing this petition indicates that you agree that CR 11 is unsafe and needs immediate attention/action to ensure safer travel.

CR 11 is notorious for heavy traffic flow, fatal accidents, and challenges exiting the neighborhood during peak travel times. The current plot of land that extends from Grey Oaks/Wild Timber neighborhoods to the new fire station is up for a rezoning request THIS MONDAY November 4 at 7 p.m. This zoning change will enable a new neighborhood to be built on these parcels of land. This neighborhood will add at least 600 additional cars on CR 11, and one of the entrances will be about 1/4 mile from the entrances to Grey Oaks/Wild Timber. This will be a logistical nightmare for the neighborhoods! 

A recent traffic study in 2024 conducted by the city indicates that our neighborhood entrance FAILED during TWO peak travel times. The traffic study indicates that such failure warrants a traffic light. 

Signing this petition is a vote for safety over revenue! Your signature means that you agree that there must be a traffic light at the intersection of Grey Oaks and Wild Timber to not only allow for easy exit from the neighborhoods during peak times but to also ensure safer conditions doing so and safer conditions for those who travel CR 11 daily. Signing this petition lets the city council of Pelham know that you expect them to protect us before they consider building any additional homes on CR 11. Safety over revenue! Our lives matter!
