These beautiful entrance cubes are are a defining characteristic of Paradise Valley Mall. According to Rafique Islam, the architect who designed the mall, “The theme of the mall starts with the entrance. It has to be visible and identifiable in the daytime as well as at night and be able to be moved when the mall expands. So we designed a cube.”  Unfortunately only one of these iconic cubes remains. Since they were designed to be moved, there is no reason why it cannot be taken down intact (and hopefully incorporated into the new build) instead of being destroyed with the rest of the mall.
