We hope this petition finds you well. As passionate Disney enthusiasts, we wanted to take a moment to express our unwavering support for the original Spanish-language dubs of timeless classics such as "Sleeping Beauty," "Snow White," and "Cinderella."

The relevance and significance of these Spanish versions cannot be overstated, as they have played a pivotal role in extending the market reach and solidifying the Disney brand across all Spanish-speaking countries for generations. Edmundo Santos's remarkable work in crafting these original dubs has left an indelible mark on Disney's international appeal.

The involvement of extraordinary vocal and artistic talents, including Rosario Muñoz Ledo and Lupita Pérez Arias, as well as the masterful choral arrangements by Maestro Eduardo Hernández Moncada, has added a distinctive and culturally rich layer to these cinematic masterpieces. Notably, the use of the Official Choir of the Opera of the Palace of Fine Arts in Mexico for "Sleeping Beauty," a choir that had collaborated with international icons like Maria Callas, exemplifies the dedication to excellence in the Spanish adaptations.

It's worth noting that Walt Disney himself extended his congratulations for the outstanding choral arrangements in "Sleeping Beauty," underscoring the international acclaim garnered by the Coro Oficial de la Ópera del Palacio de Bellas Artes.

Lupita Pérez Arias's illustrious career as a soprano further enhances the depth of these Spanish-language dubs, contributing to the cultural richness and authenticity that defines the Disney experience for Spanish-speaking audiences.

Consider, for a moment, the impact that altering the original English voices like Mary Costa, Eleonor Audley, Ilene Woods, and Verna Felton would have on the essence of these classics. The unique vocal signatures of these artists are inseparable from the characters they brought to life, and the same holds true for our cherished Spanish-language versions.

We earnestly implore you to consider revisiting the decision to replace these original dubs. While we understand the complexities surrounding rights issues, it is disheartening to witness the artistic compromises that redubbing has brought, particularly in the case of Maleficent's character, where the original strength and resonance are notably absent.

There are some attached voice samples to illustrate the stark contrast between the original and redubbed versions, hoping that the importance of preserving the artistic legacy outweighs any challenges related to rights.

It is our belief that the heirs of these vocal talents are motivated by a desire to safeguard the artistic contributions of their loved ones, and we hope that Disney, as a champion of creativity and cultural significance, can find a way to honor and preserve these invaluable original Spanish-language dubs.
