To whom this may concern,

We hope this message finds you well. Thank you for your frequent updates on the situation and thank you for your efforts on trying to make our education as seamless as possible. We do understand that coming back to Poland for finals is for our own good and we agree that having stationary finals will be more beneficial to us. We all wish that we could have had a regular semester and regular exams, because online classes and exams have been nothing but stressful. Some of us live in countries with the worst internet and electricity and as a result have been missing some classes and not been able to understand as much as we could have in person. Not to mention the constant stress and worry of losing internet connection or electricity in the middle of online exams.

Having said that, as much as we would like to have in-person classes and exams, it is not possible at the moment. The pandemic situation is still deteriorating. Some of us live in countries with regulations that do not allow us to travel. Others are immunocompromised and cannot risk coming to a country with 30 000+ cases everyday. Even the healthy individuals among us are not willing to take such risks. Some might say that the virus is not deadly to healthy individuals of our age group. However, this is a new virus and nobody knows the long term implications that may appear after treatment. Therefore, it’s better to be safe than sorry. None of us are willing to take such risks at the moment. We really hope you would understand our concerns and reconsider the recent decision of having stationary finals. Thank you once again for your continuous efforts and we are looking forward to hearing from you.
