Reconstruct the Housing, Government, and Justice Systems for Greater Equity

The Issue

This petition comes from a place of deep personal concern because the current system leaves far too many people unable to afford to leave a tangible inheritance to their children after having worked all their lives. We envision society where each and every individual has access to basic necessities and fair opportunities for growth and happiness.

We demand: the abolition of rent, a 1-year probationary period for government leaders prior to their 2-year term limit, and a rehabilitation-focused justice system that offers second chances.

This cause is deeply personal to me as an American citizen burdened by the harsh realities of greed, inflation, and societal hierarchy. I've seen firsthand how inflation and selfishness taint the promise of life, liberty, justice, and pursuit of happiness our founding fathers secured for us. It's time for a radical reinvention of a system that has allowed a select few to prosper at the expense of many.

Our approach involves three key demands:

Firstly, we seek legislation to impose a 1 year probationary term limit for all leadership positions within the US government. At the end of this probationary period, the incumbent should provide a summary of work and duties performed for citizen review and subsequent voting on extending office stay for no more than a two-year term period. A 1-year probationary period for government leaders ahead of a 2-year term limit, promotes short-term effectiveness and long-term change. This way, leaders are encouraged to draft policies with long-lasting benefits, not just those that suffice their term.

Secondly, we insist on abolishing rent. Housing is a fundamental human need; yet, many working individuals are struggling to afford even the most basic accommodations. It urges us to contemplate about a society where housing is not a privilege but a meet need and there's no place for the ostensible practice of rent. No citizen, immediate family members, business, association or affiliation should be permitted to own more than two residential rental properties outside their primary residence that generate an income exceeding $700 per month. Make 'descent' home ownership accessible, affordable, available and within reach for every American family. Food, clothing and shelter are all basic human needs. Neither of which should be permitted to be distorted by greed, inflation or manipulation of that fact. Residential properties should be made available according to family size. For example, a minimum of 2,000 square feet for a family of 3.

Thirdly, our justice system needs to be re-established to actually rehabilitate and give 2nd chances after the period of time served by law enforcement actually working to restore the rights of our citizens. The current justice system must be revisited to align it with the principles of reformation and rehabilitation. Providing second chances to citizens after time served not only helps in their integration into society but also serves justice in its true essence.

By reshaping our housing, justice and political systems in these ways, we aim to distribute wealth more evenly, curb selfishness, and return power to the overwhelming majority. A nation thrives when its people thrive, so let's put ourselves—and our neighbors—first.

Join me in demanding more from our government and pushing for a more equitable America. Sign this petition today!

It is our personal plea, and the plea of countless others silently suffering, for these fundamental changes. We must push for a more equitable, more fair system where everybody gets a shot at a better life. Sign and share the petition, let's be the change we want to see, together.
