My Google Account has been permanently restricted following an incident that occurred without my knowledge or consent. On 07/08/2026, I allowed younger family members to use my computer for gaming while I was asleep. During that time, one of them accessed Google Lens and used it to reverse-search an image on an adult forum, without my knowledge, presence, or permission.

I have disclosed these circumstances honestly in my appeals because I believe transparency is important. Since becoming aware of the incident, I have taken additional steps to secure my account and prevent anything similar from happening again. I changed my password, enabled two-step verification, revoked unrecognized sessions, and spoke with my family members about responsible and appropriate use of my devices.

I understand that Google's policies regarding child safety and prohibited content are extremely serious, and I respect the need for strong enforcement. However, I respectfully ask that the circumstances of this particular incident be considered, including the fact that the activity occurred while I was asleep and was carried out by another person using my device without my knowledge or authorization.

Why This Account Is Important

This account is not simply an email address. It has been part of my life for years and contains information and work that I cannot easily replace.

It holds irreplaceable family photographs, including memories of my parents and partner that are not stored anywhere else. It also contains source code for software projects and prototypes, academic materials essential to my studies, a personal PDF library accumulated over many years, and professional documents that I rely on regularly.

Most importantly, my Google Maps business listing is connected to this account and is an important part of my livelihood. Losing access has affected my ability to manage my business and maintain normal professional operations. At the same time, being separated from my academic materials and personal files has disrupted my studies and daily life.

The longer the restriction remains in place, the greater the practical and emotional consequences become. I am deeply worried about losing access to memories, projects, and information that cannot simply be recreated.

My Request

I am not asking Google to disregard its policies or give me special treatment. I am asking for the opportunity to have the circumstances of my case evaluated fairly and individually.

An automated decision may identify activity associated with an account, but it cannot necessarily understand who was using the device, what the account holder knew at the time, or the circumstances surrounding an isolated incident. In my case, the activity occurred while I was asleep and was performed by another person without my knowledge or authorization.

I respectfully request a thorough human review of my account, including my account history, the circumstances surrounding the incident, and the security measures I have taken since discovering it.

I have relied on this account for years for my personal life, education, projects, and livelihood. I sincerely hope Google will reconsider the restriction if, after a complete human review, it determines that restoration is appropriate.

I am asking for fairness, not an exemption from the rules. Please consider the full circumstances of my case and give me a genuine opportunity to regain access to an account that contains an irreplaceable part of my personal, academic, and professional life.
