Reconsider coaching decision at Dunboyne Tennis Club

Reconsider coaching decision at Dunboyne Tennis Club
The Issue
Edi and Daniel Vlas have been invaluable to my personal tennis journey since I first joined the Dunboyne Tennis Club (DTC). Their dedication and commitment to nurturing talent and fostering a supportive, professional environment have been evident in every coaching session. Many members, myself included, have greatly benefited from their expertise and passion, which has been a cornerstone of our community for the past 16 years.
Unfortunately, the recent decision by the Dunboyne Tennis Club committee to terminate their services threatens to unravel the cohesive and thriving environment Edi and Daniel have helped to build. Their connection with our members goes far beyond the court—they have become mentors, friends, and integral parts of our community.
The impact of their removal is not to be underestimated. Members who relied on their coaching for personal and sporting development now face uncertainty. This decision could jeopardize not only the quality of coaching but also the camaraderie and sense of belonging that makes our club special.
We understand the committee's intention to seek new contractual terms and evolve the club's ambitions in this area, but we firmly believe that this can be achieved without losing exceptional assets like Edi and Daniel. Their proven track record of success and dedication to the club cannot be easily replaced.
We respectfully urge the Dunboyne Tennis Club committee to reconsider this decision and reinstate Edi and Daniel as our coaches. By doing so, the committee would demonstrate a commitment to preserving the unique and cherished culture of our club, ensuring that members continue to receive the highest quality coaching available.
Please join me in signing this petition to show your support for Edi and Daniel, and to advocate for a solution that benefits all members of the Dunboyne Tennis Club. Together, we can strive for a future where progress and tradition coexist harmoniously.
