Recognition of a mass femicide

Recognition of a mass femicide
The Issue
On 7 October, Hamas killed hundreds of women in Israel at a music festival and community farms. There were specific crimes against women. Women are still being held hostage, considered as spoils of war. We demand recognition of mass femicide.

The Paroles de Femmes association is appealing to feminists and supporters of our cause to recognise the femicide of the women massacred on 7 October in Israel. Their names were Sarah, Karine, Céline...
It's important for this term to be recognised by all the international NGOs (Amnesty International, UN Women, etc.).
This is a mass femicide that we have to face up to, without linking it to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. We know it is difficult. But we must do it so that women are no longer the first victims of war and armed conflict, and so that their faces are never forgotten.
Many civilians died, but women were not killed in the same way as others. The violence inflicted on these women corresponds in every way to the term "Femicide". The women were paraded naked. The women were raped to the point of breaking their pelvises. Their bodies were also raped. Their genitals were damaged. They urinated on their remains. Some were decapitated, others dismembered and burnt. Others were taken hostage.
All this was filmed and photographed to instil fear, because women and children are symbols of our humanity. Videos of the terrorists' interrogations confirm this: "We wanted to rape them to smear them". The women hostages were even sorted, with the beautiful ones on one side and the others killed. We also have a video of this. Disabled women were also raped and killed, like Noya, who is autistic, and Ruth, who has multiple disabilities.
We repeat: this is not about the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. This appeal is not political. This appeal is purely feminist and humanist. We must all show solidarity.
