RECALL RUTO AWARD ON GOVERNANCE

RECALL RUTO AWARD ON GOVERNANCE
The Issue
As a citizen of Kenya, I find myself grappling with the harsh reality of life under the leadership of President William Ruto. The daily struggles that we Kenyans endure due to his punitive, biased, and unprogressive decisions are unbearable. Our hands are tied while we watch our loved ones unable to afford a single meal a day. Our health service is falling apart, hospitals are lacking medicines, and our dedicated doctors and nurses are enduring unpaid wages. Our education system is in shambles, with corrupt MPs misusing education funding with impunity.
Under Ruto's leadership, hundreds of GenZ protectors have been kidnapped and killed. Yet, despite these atrocities, Ruto has been honored by the Open Governance Partnership for alleged good governance and transparency. The weight of this irony is staggering. Ruto's own participation in unaccountable rogue loans, seemingly for his personal gain, is well-documented, and evidence of his disregard for transparency is abundant.
We are convinced that Open Governance Partnership did not possess complete information when they chose to honor Ruto. The award, intended to promote good governance and transparency, loses its meaning when bestowed upon a leader who disrespects these very principles. We ask the Open Governance Partnership to reconsider their decision, and withdraw their award from President William Ruto.
Join us in our quest for genuine governance and transparency. We respectfully request you to reflect upon our situation and sign this petition. Let us together ensure that honors for good governance are appropriately placed.
