Oak Harbor deserves better leadership. When the current mayor took office, he inexplicably decided to double his own salary. This move was not only irresponsible but also a blatant disregard for the needs of our community, which he has consistently neglected. He refuses to acknowledge the pressing issue of homelessness that is overwhelming our city. Oak Harbor has become a destination for those suffering from homelessness, rather than a vibrant community where families can thrive and visitors are drawn.

His interactions with neighbors are disparaging, and he shows no sign of the decency and respect that should come with his position. Furthermore, his conduct in public and social situations is unbecoming of a public official, degrading the office he holds and tarnishing the reputation of our town.

Oak Harbor is a beloved community that deserves officials who will serve with integrity and purpose. We need a leader who will actively work to address the challenges our community faces—someone who represents the values and desires of our townspeople, rather than someone who is out of touch with our environment.
