He has betrayed the citizens of this state by signing AB 131,  taking their money in the form of taxes and giving it to illegal immigrants. The Governor has spit in the face of all citizens by signing the so called "dream act". The "dream act" is a nightmare for all citizens in the state of California. We must stop this continued destruction of our great state, please join the fight and save California for Californians.

Thousands of California students in the country illegally will be eligible to receive state financial aid to attend public colleges, as Gov. Jerry Brown signed legislation Saturday known as the California Dream Act.

But Brown ducked a costly legal battle over affirmative action by vetoing a bill that would have let California's public universities consider an applicant's race and sex in admission decisions.

"I wholeheartedly agree with the goal of this legislation," Brown said in his veto message of SB185. But because of Prop. 209 - the 1996 constitutional amendment approved by California voters that outlaws "preferential treatment" on the basis of race, sex, color, ethnicity or national origin in public employment, education or contracting - Brown said the courts, not the Legislature, should decide if changes can be made.

The California Dream Act - AB131 - has been one of the most-watched bills on the governor's desk. The law, which takes effect in 2013, still must be approved by the UC regents, but they are expected to support the measure.

Opponents favoring stricter immigration laws are warning that they will try to block the measure through a referendum on next year's ballot.

Despite the will of Americans inCaliforniaand across the country, leftist California Governor Jerry Brown signed the second part of California’s DREAM Act into law over the holiday weekend.

Now,American taxpayers are on the line for $14.5 million a year in state and federal grants to help illegal immigrants pay for college.

AND let's not forget illegal immigrants have one more reason to tip-toe across the border into California.

Brown, of course, is trying to downplay the true cost of the grants by saying it would affect only about 1% of the $1.4 billion in annual Cal-Grant funding.

Assemblyman Gil Cedillo who introduced the bill is even saying “It’s the smartest thing for us to do.”

Maybe if you are a career politician with a predominately leftwing constituency then passing state-level DREAM Act legislation IS ‘the smartest thing to do.’

But it’s not if you are a hardworking AMERICAN CITIZEN footing the bill for California’s leftwing Pro-Amnesty agenda.

And it's definitely not the smartest thing to do if you care about the future of our country.

Today, Investors Business Daily released the results of a recent opinion poll on the issue of states offering in-state tuition to illegal immigrants.

Sixty-nine percent of those polled oppose state’s extending in-state college tuition to illegal immigrants while charging higher fees for legal, out-of-state residents.

By party-line, 73% Republicans opposed in-state tuition for illegal immigrants as did 74% of Independents and 58% of Democrats.

Even 54% of the Hispanics polled oppose DREAM-Act legislation.

Yet leftist career politicians like Gov. Jerry Brown continue to ram pro-Amnesty, pro-illegal immigration policy down our throats.
