A FOIA request to the Scott County Virginia Board of Supervisors, turned up evidence that Attorney Terry Gene Kilgore made a phone call to the Scott County, Virginia Board of Supervisors to prevent them from sending a letter of opposition that was written and properly voted on, to send, about the proposed Moss 3 Landfill in Russell County, to the Russell County Virginia Board of Supervisors. This is concerning because Mr. Kilgore has previously done attorney work for the landfill property owners, Mr. John Matney and Mr. Stacy, and who also serves as an attorney for the Russell County Board of Supervisors. There is evidence of those transactions also. This clear conflict of interest undermines public trust in our local government.
