Rebuilding Ramokokastad Clinic

Rebuilding Ramokokastad Clinic
The Issue
In November 2018, the Ramokokastad Clinic, outside Rustenburg in North West province was set alight leaving over 10 000 predominantly economically disadvantaged people residing in 4 villages (Ramokokastad, Bojating, Mmorogong, Phadi) without primary health facilities for over 2 years.
With predominantly elderly people who rely heavily on chronic medication and poor people without medical aid, this clinic provided much needed services that will ensure that throughout the COVID pandemic, that people of Ramokokastad do not continue to suffer the consequences of few criminal actions.
The clinic provided amongst other services chronic diseases, family planning, Immunizations, antenatal service, HIV/AIds, TB and many more.
The community members are currently travelling about 35 km to reach a health facility in nearest town Mogwase whereby they are overburdening the already overstretched Mogwase clinic. With the clinic trip costing on average R50 - R60 per person it is a major inconvenience to a community that is already heavily reliant on elderly and child social grants
Most of the working class individuals have moved out of the villages and living in cities (Pretoria and Johannesburg) leaving behind a community in need. Rebuilding the clinic will save many lives and this petition is hoping we can save more as COVID pandemic has already claimed many.
Individuals, businesspeople, community organisations in Ramokokastad, Bojating, Mmorogong and Phadi, please raise your hand and voice and lets rebuild the Clinic for our elders and future generations.
Please sign the petition Baphalane ba etsho. Let's help our people stay alive and healthy.
