On Wednesday the 8th of October, OPTUS failed to deliver on its contractual agreements to Australians nation-wide when it failed to maintain its system. While localised outages might be forgiven, nation-wide outages have affected millions of people that utilises the OPTUS network. The estimated cost is close to 20 millions dollars - money Australian will never see! 

Should OPTIS be allowed to get to get away with this - not only with it show Australian will accept whatever they are given, but it will also set a precedent that telcos may dictate their service to their consumers, not matter the cost to Australia!

This ember must be stomped out before it turns into a raging bushfire - consumers on OPTUS’s network must demand more compensation so that Telco’s understand the public will not allow nation-wide outages! Big companies will only care about financial incentives!
