Change Reading Ohio Pig Zoning Code

My family recently had a scare that our two mini pigs, Petey and Penny, may not be in code with the City of Reading's animal laws. We have been a part of this community for 3 years and so have our pigs. We love our pigs as if they were our own children. They have never been a problem to any of our neighbors as they are mainly indoor pets. They play with our children and our two dogs. They have so much personality and they are truly loved by our family. While right now we are safe from them being removed from our home, we would like to speak to the city council about updating the code to allow mini pigs in the homes of Reading residents. If we do not update this code, then, in the future, the council may interpret the code differently. If we are able to update this code it will protect our snout babies from ever being removed from our home. We are only asking that the code be updated to allow pigs that fall under the category of a mini pig as pets in the home. Pigs would have to remain inside and would not be allowed to reside outside the home. Please support our cause in updating this code so in the future Petey and Penny will not be at risk from being removed from our family.
