We are calling on the decision-makers to reconsider the current vaccine mandates imposed on healthcare workers in Victoria, Australia. Our healthcare system is a vital part of our society, and we need all hands on deck to ensure that quality care is readily available to the public in their time of need.

With the state of emergency declared over, it's time to reassess whether these strict measures are still warranted or justified for not only healthcare workers but all workers in Victoria. High vaccination rates and acquired immunity have significantly decreased risk levels. According to data from the Department of Health, as of February 2022, over 90% of Victorians aged 16 and above have received two doses of a COVID-19 vaccine. This high level of immunity should be taken into account when evaluating current mandates' necessity and effectiveness.

The call for action this petition is seeking:  

1. Cease the Victorian Vaccine ‘mandates’ (Including COVID-19 and flu vaccines) for all Victorian citizens effective immediately.                         
2. A state directive to be issued effective immediately to all Victorian employers to offer all Victorian citizens, who had their employment terminated who ‘didn't comply with vaccine mandates’, the employment positions they held before their termination. (Not limited to healthcare workers, this direction should be for all employers, services, and businesses operating in Victoria)
