We are  warns that due to the illeagle construction of a private hydro powered power plant 200 meters above Lakshapana water fall, it has currently faced a threat of being completely dried out.

The construction work of a small scale hydro powered power plant that is being carried out by Sapthakanya Hydro cooper (pvt) Ltd approximately 200 meters above the Lakshapana waterfall is causing damage to the waterfall as the explosions made during the construction work has made the rocks of the waterfall to loosen up. Banks of the Maskeliya River that supplies water to the waterfall has also collapsed due to these explosions.

while  illegale construction  cement that get mixed up with the water has created a hazardous environment for the inhabitant fish as well. 

The Center for Environmental and Nature Studies requested from Sri Lankan Goverment and Ministry of Environment   to take immediate action to preventes  this Beutifull waterfall distruction . But they are not involed to stop Laxapan waterfall degardations . 

We request put your signature aginsts  the illeagle construction 200 meters above Laxapan waterfall. it will be healp to protect this beutifull waterall an, awake the Sri lankan Goverment and ministry of environment .
