Keep ownership of the Rankin County Multipurpose Pavilion with Rankin County and preserve its primary use for the agricultural related activities that it was built for.

The Issue

The Rankin County Multipurpose Pavilion was built using grant funding that was given specifically for agricultural use.  The arena stays busy throughout the year with events held by many organizations including:  Rankin County Riding Club, National Barrel Horse Association, Better Barrel Races, 4-H, Cowboy Mounted Shooting Association, Mississippi High School Rodeo, Mississippi Western Horse Show Association, etc.  This facility provides a huge positive economic impact to Rankin County via show participants who are patrons of hotels, restaurants, gas stations, clothing stores, feed stores and other services in the area.
