Recently, corporate Hy-vee execs have been "trimming the fat" via mass firings and demotions. Six hundred plus employees have lost their jobs in the past month as an attempt to keep their profit levels high. Unfortunately,  not once have they considered their need for a corporate personal gym and spa as "unnecessary" nor has Randy Edeker ever floated the idea of himself taking a paycut. Now, we have no exact number as to what he makes, but it's estimated to be more than one million per year, which is at least 50 times more than their average employee makes. Instead of cruel firings, is it not more reasonable for Randy to be a humanitarian and look out for his employees by reducing his salary and cutting their frivolous spending on the corporate level? Our goal is to bring back Hy-Vee's culture as an employee-owned company that is not only capable, but willing to give all of their employees the means to create a healthy, fruitful life for themselves and their families.
