Mercy was found along the roadside in Randolph County, Alabama. She was very sick, and left in her cage to die. Mercy obviously died as a result of neglect and abuse. Her body was sent to Auburn University for necropsy, and we are hoping to find the person responsible for her death. Until then, we are calling for resources from our county commission to keep this tragedy from happening again. Mercy might have been saved with a timely response from properly trained animal controlled professional. However, we don’t have that kind of person here in RC, and we desperately need one.
