Memorandum regarding Ranakpur and Muchhala Mahavir Jain Tirth
This is regarding world's renowned Jain Tirths Ranakpur and Muchhala Mahavir, situated in the Aravallis of Rajasthan, 
which indisputably belong to Shwetambar Murtipujak Chaturvidh Jain Sangh1
 ("Shree Sangh").
Since the last few weeks, Jyot- a Jain religious NGO, is spreading awareness about crucial information regarding these 
Tirths. It has come to my notice through this, that both the Tirths are included in forest under various forest laws, years 
ago. Both the tirth complexes have been in existence long before the forest laws came into being. However despite this, 
the State government did not deem it necessary to keep the tirth complexes out of the forest. Adding to this, the Sheth 
Anandji Kalyanji Trust ("AKT"), which is only a managing body of these tirths, has unauthorisedly accepted that both the 
complexes belong to the forest department of the State without taking consent of the entire community. This has deprived 
Shree Sangh to own its significant and prestigious places of worship.
I wish to say here that, no information was ever passed to Shree Sangh, through any public notice or otherwise, regarding 
the circumstances of the Tirths in past decades. Further, being a member of Shree Sangh and as a stake holder, I say that 
I have no consent whatsoever, to the unauthorized acceptance of AKT which is in the manner not enjoined by Shree 
Sangh. The action of AKT is a breach of trust and is beyond its powers.
Therefore, I kindly request that the assent given by AKT be not considered on behalf of Shree Sangh (the real owner) and 
accordingly rectification be made in relation to the ownership of Shree Sangh over Ranakpur and Muchhala Mahavir Tirth.
