The Ramsey Movie Theater has no way to obtain revenue or open their business for the unforeseen future.  Ramsey residents helped saved their business once and it is time to fight to do the same for them now.  Ramsey Mayor and Council and Planning Board has the ability to allow the Ramsey Movie Theater a temporary accommodation to allow a Drive In Movie Theater anywhere on town property but, has declined the request.  Other towns have allowed this temporary adjustment to allow for Drive in Movie's in towns that don't even have a Movie Theater and they are all sold out through the end of August.  So many towns are allowing this but, Ramsey seems unwilling to even consider it.  Demarest Farms was granted this accommodation and unlike Ramsey Movie Theater, they had a way to make money during the pandemic as the farm was open.  So many empty parking lots around Ramsey every evening.  Ramsey had a Drive in Movie theater before so this is not even the first time for our town.  The Planning Board has made adjustments for outdoor dining on parking lots and sidewalks which is great but, they should also be willing to approve this outdoor drive in movie request to help keep our Ramsey Movie Theater in business.   With camps closed and very little way to entertain our children, a drive in movie would be fantastic for residents also.  Please sign this petition asking the Mayor and Council and Planning Board to allow our beloved Ramsey Movie Theater to open a Drive in Movie anywhere in town that they deem suitable.  Thank you for your support!
