Save Buxwaha

The Issue

We aim to protect the environment. A construction of diamond will take place in Buxwaha Forest (Bundelkhand Region), Madhya Pradesh which will destroy Buxwaha Forest (2,15,000 approximately trees) that will cause irreversible impacts on our environment which can't be compensated anyhow.

There will be non-deposit of underground water, soil erosion leading to infertility of the land and many more consequences in just a few years (maybe months) which will affect not only the environment but also the livelihood of Bundelkhand region that too for a longer duration which would lead our future generation in a drastic environment.

Already the whole world is facing climate change, on one hand, India is moving towards green and clean energy and has achieved a 28% reduction in emissions (https://www.thehindubusinessline.com/news/india-on-course-to-exceed-paris-climate-change-commitments/article36098703.ece thanks to initiatives taken by the government. On the other hand, we are going to cut down approx 312 hecotors for sake of diamond which is nothing in comparison to the hidden cost we are going to pay.
We understand that development and financial aid but at what cost? There are sustainable approaches that can help in the development of the area and job generation like tourism, alternate zoo, planned medical industry ( as forests contain many medical plants), etc. that will also help to increase awareness about the importance of forest and ecosystem.
