Please do not support or pass a BAN (SB 1315) concerning the ownership of non human primates in Virginia. A Ban is never a good thing for any animal. To ensure responsible ownership we would accept fair legislation that protects us as owners and protects the public, but a BAN of an animal makes people to become illegal and causes animals to be hidden and lack sunshine and in veterinary care. We, owners, would be happy to be a source of education; educating others to be the best owners they can be and to keep Virginia a state that is fair to all animal owners. Thank you.
