Richmond Mayor Lavar Stoney has failed

 Richmond police Chief William Smith is forced out by Mayor Levar Stoney for doing his job.
A quarter-century of faithful service in RPD. The first chief (not acting Chief) to be selected out of the ranks in a loooong time - probably three decades.
Where are the grown-ups in this country?
Capitulation is the new normal in many cities across the country as violent mobs, looters, killers, road blockers and vandals rule the day.
Not peaceful protesters. Not the police or those seeking honest reform. Not citizens and business owners watching their cities and streets devolve into 3rd-world chaos.
Mayors like Stoney - and much of the national media - may as well be in the streets joining In the mayhem.
Police trying to do their jobs are mobbed as the city falls apart and Stoney blames the cops and the chief. He’s just green-lighting more of the Lord of the Flies madness that is gutting cities run by tools like him.
Stoney, you are done. Your big democratic friends who prepped and preened you and got you the job can’t save you.
Who will step into the breech? Who will act with a firm and fatherly - or motherly - hand towards these destructive brats who have taken over the operation of the city?
