As a four year resident of Hewlett Woodmere School District 14 I have heard that Air Conditioning is coming to Franklin Early Childhood Center and Hewlett Elementary School. Years ago, I heard that the NY State Board of Education has approved the installation of the units and that the budget was in place to have the work done.  Both of my children have graduated FECC and in another year my oldest child will graduate HES and as I start this petition there is still no air conditioning installed.

          School just started three days ago but already there are children suffering from heat strokes and not receiving proper education because the school staff is worried about the physical well being of our kids.  Instead of education they are being shuffled around the school in order to keep cool.  Every year, we the residents pass the school budget with the hope of the district doing the right thing by our kids.  So far they have failed in this regard when it comes to this matter.  

  I would like for School District 14 residents to join me in signing this petition to get our school district to finally push through and deliver on their promises and provide a safe teaching environment for our children.
