The Smurfs 3

The Issue

By May 10, 2012, just two weeks after production of The Smurfs 2 was announced, Sony Pictures Animation and Columbia Pictures had been already developing a script for The Smurfs 3, with writers Karey Kirkpatrick and Chris Poche. Hank Azaria, who played the live-action Gargamel, said that the third film "might actually deal with the genuine origin of how all these characters ran into each other way back when." In March 2014, Sony announced that it will reboot the series with a completely computer-animated film.

So to make changes for Sony, we like to ask the directior,  Raja Gosnell to delay the third live-action film to 2019 or even a future year release & rehire Heitor Pereira to think of ideas for it's score. So in that way all the fans will be delighted to see the live-action Smurfs again. (Especially in 3D)

P.S. In my thoughts of my own ideas, I wonder if the film takes place while Clumsy, Smurfette & her siblings Vexy & Hackus would all take the third film's leading-role once again, but this time it takes on London.

NOTE: Since Clumsy's voice actor, Anton Yelchin has died in a car accident, Jack McBrayer will still take his place on the third film after he's done with first role in Smurfs: The Lost Village.

In my opinion, the new animated Smurfs film, Smurfs: The Lost Village is not (or maybe not just only) an reboot. It's actually (or even also unfortunately) a prequel!

So lets Smurf on & make it happen!
