For years on the island of San Andres, the government of Colombia has wrongfully treated the natives of the island known as Raizals. We are a hard-working people and we only want justice. The government has continuously, put the island in tough positions from allowing criminals to enter the island when the prisons are full to gifting Nicaragua vital marine territory around the island (fishing is a big part of our economy). 

Our culture is dying as our island is severely overpopulated and the majority of people on the island are not originally from there (three generations of people not native to our island). These petitions are to bring awareness to the situation on our little island in the Caribbean Sea. These simple petitions are just a sign of awareness and support for our Raizal people. The more "foreigners" that come into our island, the more islanders that leave the island.
