It was recently revealed in the Japanese FAQ that the mii limit will be 70 and that you could only share miis and items with irl people. This may not be a huge problem for a certain group of people, but you gotta remember that everyone plays every game differently. Today, I’m going to give you the reasons WHY this is an issue for people like you, me, and others. This might be edited later if I find sources, more info, or if there is errors here, so stay tuned.

Here are my reasons:

The 70 mii issue: It effects anyone who has a lot of OCs, wants to add a large cast of fictional characters, has a huge family, has a lot of friends, wants to use the baby feature but doesnt want to sacrifice their loved ones/OCs/favorite fictional characters to do this, etc. 

The hyper local irl mii sharing: This effects people who wanna share with their friends and family who live far away and they can’t visit each other anytime soon, people who are busy and don’t have time to make miis and items, people who are good at making miis but not items and vice versa, artists who want to share their miis and art, vice versa, etc.

How can Nintendo fix this? By increasing the mii limit from 70 to 208 and by allowing us to share our miis and items with our switch friends and maybe friends of friends if we’re feeling spicy.

Why 208? It’s a result of 8x26, it’s 100 and one full apartment/house more than the original, and I heard that some modders added 250 miis with no problems with lag (link will be added eventually) so I subtracted that limit and BOOM more miis and no lag. By the way, for anyone who wants to argue against this: just know that not everyone plays like you and you don’t HAVE to add all 208 miis into the game. If you wanna add 70, that’s fine… but PLEASE give everyone else more options. 

And I literally have no argument for the sharing miis and items, it’s just nice to have an option to share with online friends whilst also having the local option so we can still have the diet streetpass and mii sharing conversations everyone’s been talking about.

EDIT: I have to clarify this because I wasn’t clear enough in the og. Unfortunately, due to the no filter rule, I’m only asking for us to share our miis and items with people on our switch friends list and potentially our friends’s switch friends list if Nintendo’s okay with it. I’m not asking to bring back the miitopia system because that’s will be a logistical nightmare for the Tomodachi team due to again, the no filter system. I’d imagine this will work similarly to how local sharing works but with anyone on your switch friends list instead and maybe friends of friends if, again, Nintendo is ok with anyone sharing miis and items with anyone on your switch friends’s friends lists. I’d also imagine you can of course you can turn off this (and the optional friends of friends feature) if you don’t want this feature on your or your kid’s/dependent’s switch in the game’s settings. Hopefully this clarification doesn’t disappoint anyone, but you gotta know how risky bringing back the miitopia system with NO FILTER is for a lot of people involved. And I’m also not the biggest fan of telling Nintendo to make a filter for this ether. Again, sorry for the disappointment, hope you guys understand.

EDIT 2: I don’t care if this happens in an update or DLC. I just want this to happen on every switch console please.
