Hey fellow Canadians!

We just need to raise our employment standards for our elected officials — exactly like we do for every other serious job in this country.

Here’s what real standards should look like:  

• All positions: Canadian Bachelor’s degree in a related field + minimum 5 years of relevant experience.
• Top roles (Prime Minister, Governor General, Governor of the Bank of Canada): Canadian Master’s degree in related fields + 10+ years of proven experience.
• English and/or French as a first language required (second languages are assets).
• Must have lived in Canada for a minimum of 10 years before serving in office — deep roots and real understanding of our country and its people.
• Prime Minister’s wage = the exact average Canadian wage. They carry the same debt load as the average Canadian.
• Pensions decided by an exit vote — perform for the people, earn it. Fail us, no golden parachute.

We don’t hire unqualified people to run our hospitals, businesses, or schools.

Why do we accept less for the people running our entire country?

Time to demand better leadership. Canada deserves competent professionals who actually understand economics, governance, and what real life is like for the rest of us.
