Raising Awareness for World Mental Health Day by 43rd SDC

The Issue

We, the officers of the 43rd Specialized Diplomatic Course (SDC) of the Foreign Service of Pakistan, united in our commitment to fostering understanding, empathy, and solidarity, vow to make a difference in the lives of people of Pakistan by recognizing the need to raise awareness about mental health and emotional wellbeing issues, and in celebration of World Mental Health Day, we hereby pledge to continue advocacy of the cause of mental health and well being.

Furthermore, we commit to building a supportive network of communities across Pakistan, particularly in civil services, where everyone, regardless of their background, gender, or identity, feels valued and understood. We will collaborate with governments and organizations across the world to ensure that mental health support is integrated into healthcare systems and that societal barriers do not prevent anyone from receiving the help they deserve.

Join us in signing this pledge as, we, the officers of the 43rd SDC, commit to being advocates for mental health, breaking down barriers, and fostering a world where every individual is treated with dignity and respect. Together, we hope to create a world where no one suffers in silence, and everyone can achieve happiness, and live a dignified and peaceful life.
