My awakening came after attending the Enough Plays to end Gun Violence at Alleyway theatre in Buffalo. I realized that I've grown up with privilege, able to pursue higher education and enjoy a stable home. However, not everyone has these opportunities. As the next generation steps into adulthood, it is up to us to initiate change.
